Spring???? What's coming????

Spring.....I love it and hate it all at the same time.  I love the hope of Spring, the signs of life I see emerging every day.  I hate if for the buds on the trees, the pollen in the air that comes from those signs of life I cheer.  Funny how life's like that.  It's Spring (almost) and I worry about my oldest getting into the college of his choice, getting his license in the next couple of weeks (OMG!!!!!!!), going to Ring Dance next week with his girlfriend and soccer season starting- AGAIN!!!  I worry about my youngest who's waiting to hear if he'll get in to an academy for high school that he wants to be in, about riding the horse that we might be leasing (and he's a BIG horse), all those tests they want him to take to get out of middle school and how he'll handle the pressure.  Life moves.  Life challenges us.  We can either celebrate the signs of life we see every day or hate them.  I choose celebrate even if it scares the tar out of me.

Snow Day!!!

We have a snow day!!!!  I really didn't expect it.  I thought we'd have a delay but I will admit (even though I know I'll be giving up a day later) that it's nice to have an unexpected day off from school.  We've all lazed the day away but it's time for me to get in gear.  I think I'll start by having a big cup of tea in my Longaberger mug :)

New Year, more changes

It's a new year and there are more changes on the horizon.  In our house almost all of us are getting ready to enter new phases of life.  My oldest graduates from high school this year, my youngest is moving on to high school, my husband is looking for a new job-hopefully one here, and I'm finally starting to plan for what I am going to do when I grow up. There was a time in my life when I welcomed change, I relished it.  There was a time in my life that I avoided change and did all I could to prevent it.  At this time in life I see change is going to happen and it's time to run with it.
