Finally Fall

 I've waited a long time to say this..... It's finally Fall!!!!  I am so happy!!!  I love Fall.  There's a crispness in the air when I'm out at night, the days are still sunny, I can put away those shorts (thank God!!!) and I can do all the things I enjoy without sweating to death.  Fall reminds me of home.  Growing up we didn't have unbearable heat and humidity to deal with day after day.  We had warm days and comfortable nights.  We had days at the beach and nights playing under the streetlights.  We had weekends in the mountains at Grandma & Grandpa's house where we made our own adventures in the woods.  Fall hits where I live right now and I'm reminded of home.  It's comforting to bundle up in my blankets at night and not hear the a/c running.  It's refreshing to be able to open a window and not feel like I'm not opening a window to the tropics. I could be 10 years old again when I feel Fall.  Fall brings promise for me.  I know that the holidays are coming and all the fun frivolity that goes with them are just around the bend.  I know that a new year is just around the corner.  I know that there's a reason & a season for everything once it's finally Fall.  I think I'm going to grab a big mug, Longaberger of course, and enjoy some hot spiced cider outside since it's finally Fall.
